The Problem of Poverty

On October 8, 2024, the Department of Economics with 4th year students of the specialty "6B04103 - Economics" held a round table within the framework of the discipline "National Economy". The theme of the round table: "The problem of poverty" and it was conducted in accordance with the 1st goal of the SDGs: "Poverty eradication". The event has become an important platform for discussing one of the most pressing and difficult issues in the country. Participants analyzed the main causes of poverty, including economic inequality, lack of jobs, low levels of education and limited access to resources.

During the round table, issues related to the fight against poverty were considered and best international practices were studied. Special attention was paid to the development of strategies aimed at improving the standard of living of the population, creating new jobs, supporting socially vulnerable segments of society and stimulating entrepreneurial activity.

The event highlighted that eradicating poverty requires a comprehensive approach that involves the combined efforts of the government, society, and business. Students proposed specific measures and ideas to enhance the well-being of the population, emphasizing the importance of integrating economic reforms with social support and development programs. The round table concluded with the understanding that eliminating poverty is not just an economic task, but also a moral duty that requires the participation and support of everyone.
