THE DEPARTMENT OF CHINESE STUDIES WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SDGS "PARTNERSHIP FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT" AND "QUALITY EDUCATION" MET WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL MINZU UNIVERSITY FOR NATIONALITIES OF CHINA
On October 23, 2024, the Faculty of Oriental Studies was visited by representatives of the South-Central Minzu University For Nationalities of China – Ms. Xun Ying, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Literature, Journalism and Radio, and Mr. Gong Guan, adviser to this institute. The guests from China were greeted by Yerzhan Kerimbayev, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, Aizhan Koibakova, Deputy Head of the Department for Scientific Innovation and International Relations, and Daulet Fatimabibi, a prominent scientist of the department. The prospects of cooperation and partnership between the two universities were discussed at the meeting. During the meeting, such topical issues as the mutual exchange of students, the creation of joint research projects, the joint writing and publication of articles by scientists from the two universities and the implementation of joint educational programs at the bachelor's and master's levels were discussed. The Chinese colleagues discussed the issue of internships within the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Chinese Studies of undergraduates of their university in the specialty "Teaching Chinese as a foreign language". The leadership of the Department of Chinese Studies, for its part, announced the prospects of internships for our students and undergraduates at the South Central University of Nationalities. The meeting of the leadership of the Department of Chinese Studies with foreign partners became an important event for the implementation of the SDGs of our university in the areas of "Partnership for Sustainable Development" and "Quality education".
