WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SDGs, THE DEPARTMENT OF TURKISH STUDIES AND HISTORY OF THE EAST ON THE EVE OF REPUBLIC DAY, A ROUND TABLE “LONG LIVE ETERNALLY, MY COUNTRY KAZAKHSTAN!” WAS HELD
On October 24, 2024, at the Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East held a round table on the theme ‘Long live forever, my country Kazakhstan!’, timed to coincide with the celebration of Republic Day, celebrated on 25 October. The event was organised by students of 2-3 courses of the department. The event was attended by the department’s faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
The round table began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by presentations from the participants. Second-year student Aiym Askerova delivered a presentation on “History of the Republic,” second-year student Ayazhan Bolatova spoke on “Kazakhstan and the Sustainable Development Goals,” third-year student Ulzhan Kydyrbai presented on “Kazakhstan’s Foreign Policy Strategy,” and third-year student Elmira Rakhymbekova presented on “Economic Development of Kazakhstan.” The speakers answered students’ questions and shared their thoughts.
Additionally, third-year student Moldir Serikhan recited the poem “Native Land” by Kadir Myrza Ali, and a quiz game prepared by Zhansaya Amanova was held.
At the end of the round table, guests and students gave congratulatory speeches, and all participants sang Eskendir Khasangaliev’s song “Atameken” together. The department leadership and faculty members expressed their gratitude to the curators-advisers of the 2nd and 3rd-year students, А. Nazarova and К. Zhanatayeva as well as to all the students who contributed to the organization of the event.
