Scientific research: Key to achieving the Development Goals
The scientists of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry actively publish the results of their scientific research in high-quality scientific journals. In particular, the details of the articles presented in quartiles Q-1 and Q-2 of the Scopus database indicate the significant success of the department. In the academic year 2022-2023, 4 articles were published on areas 3.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2023-2024, the number of publications in the same area increased to 9, which is a two and a half-fold increase. One of the current topics for research is the scale of microplastic pollution of regional ecosystems, which is considered a global problem. Scientific research aimed at preventing this pollution has created the preconditions for the formation of good health and well-being of the population. The practically important conclusions obtained in the course of these studies indicate the possibility of international exchange of experience in the field of joint development of affordable and clean energy through ecosystem restoration.
