One of the directions of the Sustainable Development Goals program is 3. “Healthy Lifestyle and Well-being,” including the “Ending Drug and Alcohol Abuse” direction. Within this framework, on October 23, 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Faculty of History N.A. Tasilova, along with senior lecturers M.D. Baidavletova and G.Z. Iskakova, organized an educational and health-focused event with second-year students of the Scientific History program titled “How Harmful Drugs Are to Humans!” Drug addiction is a pathological craving for narcotic substances. Drug addiction is the misfortune of the entire society, a disease threatening our future. During the event, it was highlighted that a person suffering from drug addiction cannot live without drugs, thus destroying their health and life, while also endangering the lives of their loved ones and those around them. Therefore, it is crucial for society to collectively renounce this disease of the century!
