On October 30, 2024, in Room 320 of the Faculty of Philology, the 2nd-year students of "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" major held an open seminar on the topic: "Sporting Superstitions." During the lesson, the origins of superstitions and their influence on athletes’ mental states were studied. The lesson began with information about the history of famous superstitions worldwide, after which students presented posters on the topic. Students actively participated in group discussions, sharing examples from personal experience or famous superstitions of well-known athletes. A role-play activity followed, where students took on the roles of athletes, coaches, and psychologists to discuss the role of superstitions in achieving results. The lesson included listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with a focus on their development among students.
