Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, teachers of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education carry out extensive educational work with students of the faculty. This aspect of education corresponds to the direction of the SDGs, such as "Quality education". In addition to classroom work, teachers spend a lot of time with their students, since our students come to study in Kazakhstan from various countries and, of course, do not know anything about the history of the country and its development features. Therefore, in all groups of the faculty, for such a big holiday as Republic Day, the advisors held open advisory hours. The teachers told the foreign students about the history of the country in which they are currently studying – the Republic of Kazakhstan, about the history of the state holiday – Republic Day and showed and explained what the state symbols of the country mean – the coat of arms, anthem and flag of Kazakhstan. The students reacted with interest to the stories by teaching and they listened carefully to the national anthem, tried to cope with the translation of the words of the anthem into Chinese – this aroused special interest among the students, they showed a creative approach, presenting themselves as literary translators. Russian is just beginning to be studied by our students, and therefore, of course, they still do not know and do not understand much, but they are pleased with their great desire to understand the Russian language and speak Russian very well, to be professionals in translating from Russian into Chinese and vice versa. The atmosphere of our event was very warm, kind and positive.
