Beyond Illusions: a new interpretation of the "Seagull "

First-year students of the educational program "6B02205 - history" of the Historical Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after Gabit Musrepov as part of the «Quality education» program related to the fourth direction of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program.

Theater is the beginning of education, thought and culture. Therefore, education is considered a dual concept with the theater. Chekhov's works have long been "repertory productions" for theaters around the world. In the author's work "The Seagull", it is not the life of Russian society at the beginning of the last century that is important, but the fate of people living this life, the inner world, the problems that formed heterogeneous behavior, and the desire for light.

Time, living conditions, and the level of technological progress change, but the essence of human relations remains unchanged. Chekhov's characters show this to the fullest-they reveal the essence of thought and occupy a place in the hearts of the viewer. "The Seagull" - the play was hotly discussed among the students, and the key idea was voiced in the play. The students said that frequent visits to the theater are becoming a tradition.
