Sustainable development - defined as development that meets the individual needs of the current generation without compromising the needs of future generations. Responding to global challenges, UNESCO calls for uniform rules that improve human life. To implement these sustainable development activities, each university joins forces, using the accumulated scientific and managerial potential. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a recognized higher educational institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the world, which is an integral part of sustainable development through the generation and transfer of new knowledge and technologies, as well as the integration of education and science. In the current social, environmental, economic situation and deep crisis, more attention is paid to the creation of the environment. At the UN summit in Johannesburg in 2002, most experts noted that education for sustainable development is one of the priorities of the world community. On October 29, teachers of the faculty of pre-university education, the department of language and general education of foreigners Duisenbaeva R.I. and Mashimbaeva G.A. M.P. Yeshimov held an event on the topic "Green Energy" in Kazakh groups studying the Kazakh language. At the event, goals and indicators for ensuring the availability and sustainable use of water resources and sanitation were presented to all. In particular, 6.1 universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all by 2030 6.1.1 per cent of the population, 6.2 ensuring universal and equal access to adequate sanitation facilities by 2030, and paying particular attention to the needs of women, girls and people in danger, ending open defecation, including handwashing devices with soap and water, indicator 6.2.1 proportion of the population using sanitation services organized in a safe manner.
