CITech–2024 International Conference Held at KazNU
On October 23-24, 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific conference “Computational and Information Technologies in Science, Engineering and Education” (CITech–2024), dedicated to the 90th anniversary of KazNU and the 75th anniversary of the distinguished mathematician and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Shaltay Smagulov.
The conference featured over 100 presentations from participants across near and far-abroad countries. The main topics addressed modern approaches to solving challenges in mathematics, mechanics, computational mathematics, mathematical modeling, advanced technologies, innovative solutions in engineering, and digital transformation.
The “Mathematical and Computer Modeling” section included 29 presentations covering diverse areas of mathematical modeling of processes, such as issues in biomedicine, economics (SDG 8 – Economic Growth), ecology (SDG 6 and 15), heat and mass transfer, deformable solids, and more. All declared presentations included participant speeches and were followed by discussions and debates. The presentations were conducted both offline and online for international participants (SDG 17 – Partnership for Sustainable Development).
The event became a significant platform for knowledge and experience exchange, highlighting academician Sh. Smagulov's contribution to global science and the university’s role as a leading scientific and educational center in the region. The Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics extends its gratitude to the National Academy of Engineering for its initiative and support in organizing this event.
