INFORMATION LETTER

Dear colleagues!

The Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies of the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will hold an International scientific-practical conference on the topic: “The Turkic World of Eurasia (V-XIV centuries)”. The conference is one of the main events of the project "The Turkic World of Eurasia (V-XIV centuries) based on Western historical and archival sources and materials of the Vatican." Within the framework of the conference, a presentation of the book "Gibratty gumyr" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Republic scientific-research Center on World history Studies, Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the University of Göttingen, Owner of the Order of "Kurmet" K.T. Zhumagulov is planned.

Conference work directions:

1. The Eurasian world: from the ancient Turks to the Ulus of Jochi;
2. The world community and Kazakhstan in the context of modern integration and modernization;
3. Round table: The Turkic world of Eurasia (V-XIV centuries) according to Western historical and archival sources and Vatican materials.

Conference working languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, German

Venue: Almaty, Al-Farabi Avenue, 71. Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 4th floor, №409 (White Hall).

09.00 – registration, 10.00 –start of conference

Format: offline, online

Session type: plenary and sectional session.

To prepare the conference program, please send the topic of the article for participation on sections until October 31, 2024, and the article before November 15, 2024 to the e-mail address zhan.dsmk@gmail.com. The conference materials will be published as an electronic collection. Publication of articles is free of charge.

Requirements for the text of the article: The article should be 5-8 pages (including the list of references). To be published, the text of the article must meet the following requirements: the text of the article and the registration form must be typed in Times New Roman, font size - 14, spacing - 1.0, on a standard A4 sheet, margins: left - 3 cm, right - 1.0 cm, top - 2 cm, bottom - 2 cm.

The title of the article is written in bold in capital letters in the center of the page; the author's surname and initials, full name of the institution, position, name of the city are written every other line.

Below, in one line, in italics (12 font size), write the abstract (3-4 sentences), keywords. Below, in one line, place the text of the article. After the text of the article, place the list of references. Materials that are not formatted in accordance with the requirements, sent to the organizing committee after the deadline, will not be included in the conference proceedings. Travel expenses of conference participants at the expense of the sending party.
