As part of the Sustainable Development Goal "Partnership for Sustainable Development" and in celebration of World Philosophy Day, senior lecturer and curator of the Philosophy Department, Doszhan Balabekuly, organized an open tutorial session titled "Academic Mobility in Philosophy (The Example of Japan)".
Philosophy is a universal subject, a shared science that appeals to many. As such, the number of people engaged with it or interested in it is large. In Japan, with its rich cultural heritage, the philosophical aspects of life and existence became the core topic during an open discussion. Imanqali Nupteke, a third-year philosophy student who had spent six months on an academic exchange in Japan, shared his experience and insights with the audience.
During the hour-long presentation, Imanqali spoke freely about the academic program at the University of Tsukuba, student life, Japanese culture and literature, and the country’s philosophical traditions. He also offered advice on academic exchange opportunities.
Students from the philosophy, cinema, and media departments participated, asking questions related to the exchange program and receiving answers.
The head of the philosophy department, associate professor Asyet Quranbek, the deputy head of the department for academic and methodological work, associate professor Zhumagul Bekenova, and philosophy graduate student Gauhar Madikhanqyzy expressed their gratitude to Imanqali Nurmanuly for his innovative approach and curiosity in the field of education and science, wishing him success in achieving his future goals and aspirations.
