Steps Towards Building a Sustainable and Peaceful Society

On October 30, 2024, in accordance with the 16th goal of the Development Program, third-year religious studies students, under the guidance of Professor K.M. Borbasova from the Department of Religious Studies and Culturology, and second-year master's student A. Toleu, organized a visit to the Central Synagogue of Kazakhstan in Almaty. In the synagogue, Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen spoke about the significance of Jewish culture and traditions, as well as their contribution to building sustainable and peaceful societies. During the meeting, the role of education and understanding of different cultures in strengthening social cohesion was discussed.
