The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences awarded the “ZhasTour” club for its contribution to the development of social activities

On November 8, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Geographical Sciences A.S. Aktymbayeva, awarded a named scholarship to the republican club for the development of tourism and sports "ZhasTour." The award was granted to the club for its significant contribution to promoting the image of the Faculty and the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism.

"ZhasTour" actively contributes to the development of the tourism industry by engaging students in various projects, events, and sports initiatives aimed at popularizing tourism and recreation. Aliya Sagyndykovna Aktymbayeva noted that thanks to the efforts of the "ZhasTour" club, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences continues to strengthen its position as a center for training highly qualified specialists in tourism. The scholarship will support the club’s future educational and practical projects.
