Scientific and Practical Seminar Dedicated to National Currency Day – Tenge
On November 11, the Department of Finance and Accounting and the Center for Economic Research at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a scientific and practical seminar dedicated to National Currency Day – the Tenge. The seminar brought together experts from Jusan Analytics, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Department of Economic Investigations, and other financial industry specialists, teaching staff and doctoral students of the department.
The main topic of the seminar was “The Role of the National Currency in Ensuring the Financial Stability of Kazakhstan’s Economy.” Key discussions centered on the prospects of currency policy, the critical factors influencing financial stability, and the challenges associated with the implementation of open banking in the digital economy. Experts addressed strategies for strengthening the Tenge amidst global economic changes, approaches to sustaining financial stability, and the role of modern technologies in enhancing the competitiveness of the banking system.
The seminar concluded with a lively discussion in which practical recommendations were formulated to support the future development of Kazakhstan's financial policy. The event underscored the importance of the national currency as a vital element in the sustainable development of the country's economy.
