The role of women leaders in the context of UN SDG 5 was discussed with students of the Department of international relations and world economy of the IRF
A meeting of students with teachers of the Department of International Relations and World Economy of the Faculty of International Relations, dedicated to the topic of women's leadership and its impact on world politics, was held in the hostel №14 of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was held under the leadership of the deputy head of the Department for educational, methodical and educational work, senior lecturer Apsattarova Gulzada Abdusagatovna, senior lecturer Kosherbaev Zhan Duisenbekovich and teacher Maltabarov Arsen Askaruly. The main topic of the discussion was the analysis of the successes and challenges faced by women leaders in the international arena, and their impact on the development of international relations and the politics of their countries.
The event, which also supported the UN SDG5 goals for achieving gender equality, included a presentation by students in which they highlighted in detail the role of women in politics and their impact on global processes. The students presented examples of famous women who have made a significant contribution to the political sphere, such as Akmaral Khaidarovna Arystanbekova, the first representative of Kazakhstan to the UN, and Hillary Clinton, the former US Secretary of State. These women have not only achieved outstanding success, but also paved the way for future generations of women in politics, making them figures worthy of study and imitation.
Special attention was paid to the analysis of the personal and professional qualities of women leaders, which allow them to effectively solve issues of both domestic and international politics. The teachers discussed with the participants of the event the factors contributing to the success of women leaders, as well as the difficulties they overcome on the way to this success. During the open discussion, the students expressed their opinion on the importance of women's participation in politics and shared their thoughts on the role of women's leadership in maintaining peace and stability in the international arena.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of lively dialogue. The students actively asked questions and shared their opinions, and the teachers gave examples of women leaders who contribute to the transformation of society, inspiring young people to reach new heights in the field of international relations. Such events help to raise students' awareness of the importance of gender equality and support their desire for development in the field of diplomacy and international politics.
