Financial Planning: A Strategy for Achieving Goals
On November 14, the Faculty of History at Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a master class titled "Financial Planning: A Strategy for Achieving Goals" as part of the Almaty City Akimat's social project "Ayauly Zhan." The main objective of the event was to enhance the financial literacy of participants by teaching students and faculty members how to manage personal finances, budget planning, investing, and protecting against financial risks. During the master class, participants were introduced to modern financial tools, learned to make informed financial decisions, and avoid common mistakes, enabling them to confidently utilize financial resources and achieve their financial goals.
This event was organized in alignment with the "Quality Education" direction of the Sustainable Development Goals program. The organization was supported by the Dean of the Faculty of History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor D.S. Baygunakov, professors of the Department of History of Kazakhstan B.B. Karibaev, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor E.N. Noyanov, as well as F.A. Kozybakova, Zh.B. Kundakbayeva, Associate Professor N.A. Tasilova, and PhD J.M. Bekbauova. Additionally, the event was supported by the Deputy Director of the Center for Technology Commercialization and Creative Industries, T. Azatuly, and Project Manager E.A. Umbetzhanova.
The master class was conducted by A.S. Sultanova, the founder and director of "As and Er" LLP, director of the public foundation "Ak Tilek," business coach, and financial analyst. She addressed key questions from students of the History, Mechanics and Mathematics, and Physics and Technology faculties. The leaders of the "Ayauly Zhan" project, G.M. Saparova and A. Malikova, conducted a survey among the students and distributed special informational brochures. Additionally, students received certificates for completing the financial literacy master class.
