As part of the SDG "Quality Education," the Department of Chinese studies held a scientific seminar on simultaneous interpretation

On November 19, 2024, the Department of Chinese studies hosted a scientific seminar titled "Features of Simultaneous Interpretation from Chinese," led by Anar Sharypova, a third-year doctoral student in the Translation Studies program.
The seminar covered key aspects of simultaneous interpretation, including its definition, types, and the use of specialized equipment. Special attention was given to the unique features of interpreting from Chinese, as well as strategies and techniques applicable to this linguistic direction. Anar Sharypova highlighted the challenges and difficulties of simultaneous interpretation and proposed effective methods to address them.
Participants, including faculty members, doctoral candidates, and master’s students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss relevant topics related to translation activities.
