"Time machine" project: Student Scientific Society presents its first project with first-year students

On November 9, 2024, the event "Time machine," organized by the "Student Scientific Society," took place at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, providing first-year students with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the organization and present their first projects.
The main goal of the "Time machine" project was to engage first-year students in scientific activities and create a space for creative approaches to scientific research, which is closely aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education. The students presented their projects, focusing on themes that linked the past, present, and future, symbolizing a "time machine." Throughout the event, they shared their ideas, exchanged experiences, and discussed relevant scientific issues.
The "Student Scientific Society" plays a key role in developing students' scientific potential, providing a platform for them to implement their ideas and projects in various fields of science. This is an important step in promoting science among youth, expanding their horizons, and developing critical thinking, aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education.
During the event, students improved their teamwork skills, learned how to apply scientific methods in practice, and participated in lectures and workshops focused on scientific research and project work. These activities provided participants with new knowledge and skills, supporting the development of quality education and well-rounded student growth.
The "Time machine" project became an excellent opportunity for first-year students not only to introduce themselves but also to contribute to the development of the scientific community within the faculty. This event opened new horizons for participants, motivating them to continue their involvement in scientific projects and initiatives.
Additionally, it is important to note that the "Student Scientific Society" plays a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere on campus, which aligns with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The students are encouraged to develop teamwork skills, support initiatives, and actively participate in university life, fostering the creation of sustainable and harmonious academic and research communities.
At the end of the event, the chair of the "Student Scientific Society," Erkebulan Abdirakhmanov, handed over the chairmanship to Zhanaya Ermekova. We are confident that under her leadership, the society will continue to grow, contributing to the development of the faculty and the university, and supporting students in their educational and research endeavors.
The Student Scientific Society will continue to organize similar events, playing a key role in the further development of the faculty and the university as a whole.
