From November 4 to 22, 2024, within the framework of the project AP22686474 “Anthology of Arabic-language sources in the world archives of Kazakh steppe thinkers”, the project leader A.Sh. Zhamashev went on a scientific trip to the cities of Turkey, conducted research in libraries and museums with manuscript collections, visited important historical and cultural centers, and exchanged views with well-known specialists and researchers.

In Konya, there is the Konya Manuscript Library, the Koyunoglu City Museum and Library, where manuscripts are stored. After examining the electronic and paper catalogs of these libraries, records related to the research topic were found. Among them, several versions of the heritage of scholars from Turkestan, Sayram, Farab, Itkan, Kerder, Syganak, Ispidjab were preserved. In addition, there was an opportunity to visit the tomb of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, visit the Maulana Museum, and get acquainted with ancient artifacts with a thousand-year history from the Konya Archaeological Museum.

As part of the research project, we visited the Suleymaniye Library and the State Archives in Istanbul. The Suleymaniye Library has many versions of Ahmet Yasawi's wisdom, rare manuscripts of Kazakh scholars. In early November, the international Tuyap book fair was organized. The exhibition included presentations of new books, events for all age groups, bibliotherapy, calligraphy master classes, and brought together researchers and representatives of world publishing houses. The Rami Library opened a manuscript exhibition "From Samarkand to Istanbul, Ali Kusshy and His World" on November 18. During the trip, we participated in these exhibitions and exchanged views with researchers.
