"A Sound Mind is in a Sound Body: How to Take Care of Your Health"
On November 26, 2024, at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi KazNU, the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, together with Kazakh and Turkmen students of "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" major organized an educational round table discussion on the topic: "A Sound Mind is in a Sound Body: How to Take Care of Your Health". The event was held within the framework of the Sustainable Development Program, aiming at promote health awareness and responsibility among students.
During the round table discussion, the participants discussed essential topics such as healthy eating, physical activity, quality sleep, avoiding harmful habits, and the importance of regular medical check-ups. Nurbek Munila, a master's degree student majoring in Linguistics, and Inkar Alpenova, the fourth-year student, shared their insights on maintaining health while living in dormitory conditions. A quiz session helped the participants exchange knowledge and learn new tips on health care.
The second-year student organizers emphasized that the event sought to cultivate healthy habits among youth. Faculty members Medetbekova P. and Daulet A. highlighted the significance of health culture in modern society and the connection between physical and mental well-being. They noted that stress and emotional state significantly impact overall health.
This initiative inspired participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle and provided them with valuable knowledge about health maintenance. Such events play a vital role in fostering an active, conscious, and healthy generation.
