The GreenTech Horizons seminar is continuing

The second day of the GreenTech Horizons project workshop was dedicated to micro-planning and detailed discussion of work packages.

The project aims to promote the transition to green and digital technologies through education and innovation in the countries of the Eastern Neighbourhood, Central Asia and the Far East.      On the first day of the seminar, its initiators presented the GreenTech Horizons project, its goals and objectives, as well as the role and contribution of each partner and structural directorate. The second day started with a presentation by Professor Daniela Ciric Lalic (UNS), who gave an overview of the first day and outlined the objectives of the second day.

Next, Madina Mansurova, Professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Big Data of the Faculty of Information Technologies, presented the innovative experience and modern opportunities of Al-Farabi KazNU. ‘First of all, our management and faculties pay special attention to the Sustainable Development Goals. Each faculty has its own work plan. We have a community, volunteers, whose activities contribute to improving the environmental condition of the campus. We hold conferences, various meetings to realise the SDGs,’ said the professor. - As for the results of scientific research in the field of digitalisation of green technologies, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data has implemented a number of projects.

In particular, Smart Lab, which aims to create a smart environment, monitoring and controlling devices to create and maintain a comfortable working environment. Control cabinets have been developed, special software that allows remote monitoring of the state of the atmospheric air and all the devices that are in this laboratory. This project is very successful, and now the participants of the research group carry out projects from various organisations’.

The workshop also included a discussion on the research structure and the role of each partner in data collection and report preparation, taking into account the regional context (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia) and other activities.
