International Scientific and Practical Seminar: «Classical and New Approaches in Foreign Language Teaching».

From November 27 to 29, 2024, an international scientific and practical seminar titled «Classical and New Approaches in Foreign Language Teaching» took place. The event brought together scholars, educators, and methodologists from various countries to discuss pressing issues and modern approaches to foreign language teaching. The seminar was organized jointly by Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University and Hacı Bayram Veli University in Ankara.

The seminar aimed to exchange experiences and best practices among professionals working in foreign language teaching and linguistic education, as well as to seek new solutions for enhancing the efficiency of the educational process. Special attention was paid to the integration of new technologies, contemporary methodologies, and the preservation of classical traditions in education. At the seminar, reports were presented by professors from Ankara University, Baku State University, Hacı Bayram Veli University in Ankara, Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, as well as specialists from the Sh. Shayakhmetov National Scientific-Practical Center "Tíl-Qazyna".

Leading experts delivered presentations on current topics, including:

• Innovative technologies in language education.
• Intercultural communication in foreign language teaching.
• The role of classical methods in modern educational practices.

Participants also discussed practical aspects of teaching, such as adapting educational materials for different language proficiency levels, utilizing digital platforms, and approaches to working with multilingual groups. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between classical and modern methods, highlighting that new technologies should complement, not replace, time-tested approaches.
