An international roundtable on the topic "Traditional Sports of Turkic Peoples: Philosophical-Cultural Dimensions and Historical Values" was held.

Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal "Quality Education," an international roundtable titled "Traditional Sports of Turkic Peoples: Historical-Cognitive Orientations, Values, and Practices" was held in celebration of World Philosophy Day and the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was organized by the International Turkic Academy, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Al-Farabi Center, and the Kazakh Committee of the Turkic Peoples' Philosophy Society.

The main topics of the roundtable included:

  • The genesis and evolution of sports among Turkic peoples: conceptual issues;
  • National games of the Turkic and Kazakh peoples, their genesis and practical significance within the framework of cultural-philosophical analysis;
  • Current relevant issues of the revival of national games and ethnosports among Turkic peoples;
  • Philosophical issues related to the ethnography, culture, and history of national sports and games;
  • The historical-social, political-cultural significance of the 5th World Nomad Games held in Astana, and prospective solutions;
  • Research on national sports and games: discourse of ideas from foreign and domestic scholars.
