Teachers of the Department of Chinese Studies took part in a scientific and methodological seminar within the framework of the SDG "Quality Education"

On November 27, 2024, a scientific-methodological seminar titled "Features of Applying Digital Technologies in Calligraphy Education" was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The event was organized as part of the opening of the new Department of "Chinese Language and Sinology" and brought together faculty members, researchers, and students.

The seminar was opened by Alua Vasilievna Tanjarykova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology at Abai KazNPU. Key presentations were delivered by distinguished guests from the People’s Republic of China: Professor Chen Xuping, Acting Director of the Institute of Philology at Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University, and Professor Yu Chao, Head of the Department of Language at the same university.

Participants discussed the advantages and disadvantages of digital technologies in language education, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on the learning process. Special attention was given to the prospects of integrating new technologies into calligraphy teaching.

Erzhan Abdraimovich Kerimbaev, Head of the Department of  Chinese studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, shared his insights on these issues, highlighting the importance of leveraging modern technologies to enhance the quality of Chinese language education.
