"Gender Equality – A Key Step Towards Development"

On November 29, 2024, the Department of Pre-University Preparation hosted an event titled "The Strategy for Gender Equality – Equality of Men and Women" among repatriate students from China studying in the preparatory program.

During the event, students shared their thoughts and perspectives on the role of governmental and social initiatives aimed at achieving gender equality across all spheres of public life. They openly discussed the unfortunate reality that psychological pressure on women still exists in society and that the issue of gender inequality remains largely a women’s concern. The students also addressed societal gender issues and expressed their opinions during the discussion.

 An encouraging observation during the discussion was that today’s students represent the future of the country. It became evident how crucial it is to spread such ideas among the youth. Moreover, many young people today think progressively, express their opinions openly, and demonstrate understanding of other people’s choices. When challenges arise, they strive to address them through open dialogue.

 Thus, the importance of fostering inclusivity and encouraging open discussion of such topics among students and youth was highlighted. This approach positively influences the development of our society. We concluded that young people raised with these values will implement these ideas in the future.
