International Forum of Students of Japanese Studies

On December 5, third-year students of the Department of Japanese Studies of KazNU took part in the international online forum "3rd International Japanology Student Forum".

This year, the forum is being held for the third time among students studying Japanese at Sofia University in Bulgaria, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey, Moscow City Pedagogical University in Russia, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The forum was initially organized by the Russian MCU in 2022, the Bulgarian SU in 2023, and this academic year, the Turkish COMU took over its organization. The topic of discussion was: "Introducing your own culture to the world: What would you share?" In particular, students of the Department of Japanese Studies of KazNU Kabylashimkyzy Yerkezhan, Nurgali Amina, Nurkaliev Nursultan and Oramalova Moldir made a presentation on Kazakh culture on four different topics and answered questions from students of other universities. The rest of the 3rd year students of the department asked questions to students from other countries, who presented their culture and took part in an educational and interesting forum.

Future japanologists should know not only Japan and the Japanese, but also be able to present their country and culture to others. From this point of view, the topic of this year's forum is probably relevant.
