“Culture and Gender Policy.”
Within the framework of of the “New Kazakhstan” initiative, the teaching staff of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory conducts weekly events aimed at improving the education system, enhancing its quality, and fostering intellectually developed, conscientious, and responsible youth within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On December 4, 2024, within the framework of “Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality” under the guidance of PhD E.S. Seisenbieva and PhD G.Zh. Bolatova the 1st year PhD student majoring in “8D02310 – Innovative Literary Studies”, N.A. Zhetkergen conducted an educational lesson on the topic: “Culture and Gender Policy.”
During the lesson, Nurshat told the students about gender politics. The students who took part in the lesson touched on the cultural aspect and did some nice group work. They played the dombra which is an element of Kazakh culture and recited the Kazakh poems.
The given event not only introduced the students to the issues of gender policy but also united them.
