One of the most acute problems of modern Kazakh society is the unwillingness of citizens to participate in political and social life. Trends lead to a passive position among young people, the manifestation of extreme forms of legal nihilism. The social danger of such behavior lies in the fact that the part of the population that violates legal prohibitions, regulations, and also leads a nihilistic lifestyle, encourages others to similar behavior. One of the forms of manifestation of these trends is the unwillingness to participate in the electoral process.

The practice of holding elections at various levels in the Republic of Kazakhstan shows that the activity of young voters decreases with great force. The absence of young people from the elections is a massive and widespread phenomenon, allowing political life to flow in a direction dictated by other age categories. In this regard, on December 4, 2024, in order to implement SDG 16. "Assistance in building a peaceful and open society in the interests of sustainable development" by 1st year students of the OP "International Law" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and 1st year students of the OP "Jurisprudence" ALMAU held a business game "Election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" with an imitation of the electoral process, dedicated to the Institute of the presidency in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the event is to increase the legal literacy of the population, to form an active civic position among young people, to familiarize students with the institute of elections, the electoral process and its significance for the state. Organizer: Teacher Tusupova A.Zh.
