«UNIVERSITY-ENTERPRISE» AS A MODEL OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT

5 december, 2024

In modern conditions, the primary task of higher education is not only to prepare a new generation of specialists but also to provide educational services to current professionals through professional development courses, seminars, training sessions, and master classes. The Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis, and Petrochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology implements several programs in this direction. These include courses for professionals in the oil extraction and refining industries, training seminars as part of the «Winter School» for university lecturers, and more.

As an effective approach to promoting sustainable development in the areas of «Quality Education» (SDG 4.3.3 - Professional Training Activities) and «Partnerships for the Goals» (SDG 17.2 - Partnerships for Supporting Sustainable Development Goals), the department recently conducted a professional development course titled «Methods of Analysis of Oil and Petroleum Products. Chemical Analysis of Oil» for employees of the oil company Kuatamlonmunai. Led by the department head, E.A. Aubakirov, and department teachers S.M. Narenova and K. Toshtay, the course introduced participants to modern physico-chemical methods for analyzing oil and petroleum products. Participants also had the opportunity to explore the latest scientific achievements in petrochemistry at the «Petrochemistry» research laboratory.
