SDG №4: A round table discussion was held on the topic «The Path of International Dialogue in Kazakhstan»

At our university, the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, Department of «Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre», organized a roundtable on the topic «The Path of International Dialogue in Kazakhstan» in honor of «Republic Day» on October 25, on October 23, 2024. 

In the first part of the roundtable, students focused on the importance and necessity of interethnic dialogue. They emphasized the significance of cultural exchange and mutual understanding for ensuring stability in the country’s multiethnic society. The next stage involved a discussion on the culture, traditions of ethnic groups, and their mutual influence. Students shared ideas on strengthening international cooperation. 

Two reports were presented at the roundtable on the topics «The Model of Interethnic Relations in Kazakhstan» and «The Role of State Programs in Strengthening Interethnic Dialogue». The reports discussed the country's practices in maintaining interethnic harmony and the work of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Students also provided examples of preserving and developing national cultures and proposed measures to increase tolerance among youth. 

Participants shared their thoughts on the topics «The Importance of International Dialogue in the Face of Modern Challenges», «The Role of Education in Strengthening Interethnic Understanding», and «Tools for Developing Tolerance Among Youth». They also shared ideas on the topics «Strengthening the Role of Ethnocultural Associations,» «Creating Interactive Platforms Aimed at Promoting Understanding Between Different Ethnic Groups», and «Organizing Additional Courses on the Culture of Interethnic Relations at the University Level». Additionally, practical ideas were proposed on the following topics: «Broad Promotion of Projects Aimed at Strengthening Interethnic Dialogue Among Youth», «Promoting the Values of Interethnic Harmony on Social Media», and «Organizing Creative Events Celebrating National Cultures».
