KazNU Physics and Technology Faculty Students Met with Representatives of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. SDG 9 and SDG 16

Students from the Physics and Technology Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as part of a youth delegation that also included students from KBTU, ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev, and AlmaU, participated in a meeting with leading experts in financial technologies and artificial intelligence.
During the event, the participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions with:
- Vladimir Zatolokin, Vice President of the International Association MATRIZ.
- Vitaliy Alekseevich Tutushkin, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Head of the Permanent Representation of the National Bank in Almaty, and a KazNU alumnus.
- Alen Asshatuly Akylbekov, Chief Specialist-Analyst at the National Bank of Kazakhstan in Almaty, an alumnus of the Physics and Technology Faculty, specializing in Nuclear Physics (5B060500).
The main topic of discussion was machine learning methods and artificial intelligence, along with their applications in the National Bank of Kazakhstan. The discussion covered key issues such as:
- Development and implementation of the digital tenge;
- The use of artificial intelligence in financial forecasting and institutional management;
- Prospects for the legalization and regulation of cryptocurrencies in Kazakhstan.
This meeting allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of modern financial technologies and acquire valuable insights firsthand from industry experts.
The event was organized within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 9 – Building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.
