KazNU's "Farabi Robotics" Center implements innovative projects

An event dedicated to Robotics Day was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, during which a visit to the Farabi Robotics Industrial Robotics Center was organized for the guests.

The "Farabi Robotics" Center demonstrated achievements in the development and implementation of robotic systems for various industries.

At the event, the member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Altai Kazmagambetov delivered a welcoming speech, emphasized: "The 'Farabi Robotics' Center has a unique opportunity not only to develop advanced robotic systems for industry but also to actively integrate these developments into the educational process. We are confident that through the collaboration of science, education, and industry, we will be able to create an ecosystem that will drive innovative changes in our country"

The Center for Engineering Competencies in Industrial Robotics and Robotization was established as part of a World Bank project. This became possible through collaborative efforts under the grant "Manufacturing Sector Consortia: Competence Centers" in partnership with the branch of the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Park of Innovative Technologies" in Almaty.

The event also featured speeches from: Vice President of the International Engineering Academy A.K. Tulehshov, President of AlmaU A.B. Kozhakmetov, expert of the Industry 4.0 Department of the AKF PIT for Almaty S.T. Rashev, Director of AMMKZ M.V. Tarasov, and others. In their speeches, the participants emphasized the importance of establishing such a center to enhance the qualification of future specialists in robotics and digitalization.

The guests of the event were introduced to robotic solutions aimed at automating processes, optimizing production, and developing new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Representatives from the academic community, business, and government organizations had the opportunity to participate in discussions on the research projects and scientific developments of the students and staff of the center.

The activities of the "Farabi Robotics" Center are focused on strengthening engineering competencies and developing industrial robotics in the country, as well as creating an innovative ecosystem that is connected with Kazakhstan's industrial and scientific communities.
