On February 28, 2025, an event on the topic "Euthanasia in the Modern World" was held at the Department of Fundamental Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This event took the form of a debate between students of Kazakh groups 24-07 and 24-05.
During the debate, key questions were discussed, such as: What is euthanasia? What types of euthanasia exist? Where is euthanasia legally permitted? In what cases is euthanasia applied? And so on.
This event contributed to the development of critical thinking, persuasive communication, and the ability to analyze complex topics from different perspectives. The debates provided an opportunity for students to articulate their thoughts clearly, defend their position with strong arguments, and respectfully challenge opposing ideas.
