The  Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Rauana Torekhanova was also present  at  the event. It aimed at  involving the  students in public discussion by making them aware   of  gender policy importance, shaping  their views on this matter, and fostering critical thinking skills.

During the event,  the students were introduced to fundamental information about gender equality. Akerke Zhanzhigitova provided an overview of gender policy historical development  and the initiatives of international organizations (UN, European Union, UNESCO) in this area. They  discussed the roles,  the rights, and  the opportunities of men and women in the  society. Khushnozbegim, Zhanel, and Aknur talked about the stereotypes imposed on women in society. Asel and Medina actively contributed to this discussion. During the "Gender Stereotypes: Myths and Reality" task,  the students compared common myths about gender equality with real facts and analyzed them. The event was ended by the completion of   "My Call for Gender Equality"  creative task by the students. In this task  they expressed their views and suggested the  possible steps to ensure equality in society.
