Surface Runoff Waters and Their Geological Work

26 march, 2025

The 15th Sustainable Development Goal is the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems. Protecting and restoring ecosystems is a major challenge. In this regard, Senior Lecturer U.K. Kozhakhmetova conducted a lesson on “Surface Runoff Waters and Their Geological Work” to educate students about sustainable development goals and provide environmental awareness.

The aim of the lesson was to analyze surface runoff waters as a key component of the environment, teach students how to use them efficiently, and inform them about possible protective measures.

During the lesson, students presented their prepared presentations, showed great interest in the topic, asked questions, expressed their opinions, and actively exchanged ideas.

In recent years, the issue of wastewater has become increasingly pressing worldwide, including in Kazakhstan. Therefore, protecting runoff waters from pollution is one of the most important tasks of modern society. A comprehensive approach, including advanced wastewater treatment technologies and modern equipment, is essential to solving this issue.
