"The Role of International Cooperation in Promoting Quality Education”

On April 5, 2025, the lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Shayahmet and A. Otetileuova held "The Role of International Cooperation in Promoting Quality Education”  conference in English within the implementation of the university project in cooperation with the United Nations and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The invited speaker was Mr. Jasin Mihlbauer, an English teacher with over 17 years of teaching experience in India, France, and Kazakhstan. The advanced group students were able to practice their speaking skills in American English by asking questions and active listening. The first-year undergraduate students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies presented their mini-research in the form of presentation and poster, where the information was beautifully organized and visually presented. Students also interviewed their international peers – from Japan, China, South Korea, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Brazil – and demonstrated the results, i.e. speeches of the international students on video. Besides, conference participants also presented the results of their thematic surveys of international students studying in Kazakhstan. ‘The importance of international cooperation in education is great, for students and teachers at university it is both a help and a challenge at the same time’, the conference participants concluded.
