“The Role of Mathematics in the Era of Global Digitalization”

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the educational system is based not only on quantity but also on quality — the main requirement of today. As part of the “40 Events” dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, the Department of Pre-University Training held an international scientific conference for students and young scientists titled "Farabi Alemi" under the section "The Role of Mathematics in the Era of Global Digitalization."
The event aimed to foster scientific awareness among students and increase their interest in research work.
Event content:
Fifteen abstracts were submitted for the section, and fourteen research presentations were delivered during the conference.
The participants discussed current issues related to the role of mathematics in the era of automation, digitalization, and the use of robots and drones powered by artificial intelligence.

The event aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Firstly, in accordance with Goal 4 – Quality Education, the event prioritized the formation of historical awareness in mathematics among participants.
Secondly, consistent with Goal 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, the event was aimed at strengthening the understanding of the history of mathematics and enhancing respect for the subject.
During the section session, participants asked questions and exchanged ideas related to the topic.
Teachers and students highlighted the importance of studying mathematics and expressed the need for organizing such conferences in the future.
