SDG 4 is "Quality education". Students specializing in food chemistry and technology exchanged experiences at the "Scientific and Educational Innovation Center for Technology and Food Quality" of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University

Within the framework of one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – SDG 4: “Quality Education” – third-year students of the Food Chemistry and Technology educational program took part in an academic exchange in April 2025. The visit was conducted as part of the course General Chemical Technology and took place at the Scientific-Educational Innovation Center for Food Product Technologies and Quality of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. The visit was organized by Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD in Chemistry, G.Zh. Zhaksylykova.
During the exchange, students became acquainted with the material and technical base of the center, including modern laboratory equipment used in food processing, quality assessment, and the implementation of innovative technologies. The head of the center, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor B.E. Erenova, provided a comprehensive overview of the center’s structure, its main scientific directions, and ongoing research projects, while also addressing the students’ professional inquiries.
The exchange contributed to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities and enabled the integration of theoretical knowledge gained in the General Chemical Technology course with practical applications. For students, this visit was a valuable opportunity for professional development and for gaining insight into innovations in the food production sector.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their sincere gratitude to Professor B.E. Erenova for her warm welcome and the valuable information shared.
