«Scientific foundations and applied aspects of Kazakh linguistics»

On April 8, 2025, there was held an international scientific and practical «Scientific foundations and applied aspects of Kazakh linguistics» conference in Al-Farabi Scientific Library’s Hall 308 at Al-Farabi KazNU, the given event was spent within the framework of FARABI FORUM, devoted to 40th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Pre-university Education Faculty. Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Member of the Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Ibraimov Margulan Kasenovich opened the conference with the welcoming speech.

Associate professor of Karakalpak State University, Nukis, candidate of sciences Smamutova Shirin Azatbayevna, professor of NSC Academy, сandidate of philology Birali Gulmira Atigollakyzy, professor of K. Satpayev KazNTU, doctor of philology Koyanbekova Sara Barikyzy, a junior researcher at Baitursynov Linguistics Institute’s Onomastics Department, an instructor of  Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Faculty at Oxford University under “Bolashak” program Sadyk Didar Akhmet, PhD Serap Pylgyr from Turkic Studies Institute at Hacettepe University, Turkey, a junior researcher at Baytursinov Linguistics Institute, a director of "Senim" Center for education and development Kassymbek Aisulu Assylkhankyzy suggested the effective ways of solving the issues related to  the Kazakh language functional aspects and current problems of its advancement, innovative methods of linguistics, experience in using the digital technologies and studying the Kazakh language evolvement problems in the multilingual environment.

Conference work continued in «New directions in linguistic science», «Digitalization and innovation of the Kazakh language», «Actual problems of teaching the foreign citizens» sections. At the sessions meetings, new research areas in linguistics and their role and importance in society, the possibilities of introducing the online platforms, mobile applications, and virtual technologies into the process of language teaching were analyzed as well.  Foreign students were asked to elaborate teaching aids and methodological materials in accordance with RK educational standard.
