The 2nd-year students of the “6B04103 – Economics” educational program at the Higher School of Economics and Business organized an informative event titled “Economics in Our Daily Life.” The aim of the event was to demonstrate the close connection between economic concepts and everyday life, to enhance economic literacy, and to foster financial responsibility among members of society.
This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 8): “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.”
During the event, students discussed the role of economics in the daily lives of ordinary people and provided examples of common concepts such as price, income, expenses, consumption, and savings. In addition, brief information was given about inflation, unemployment, the state budget, and tax policy, as well as their impact on the country’s development.
