Al-Farabi KazNU together with KazMunaiGas PetroChem LLP is forming a new generation of leaders for the petrochemical industry

In April of this year, representatives of KazMunaiGas «PetroChem» LLP made an official visit to the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, where they met with the Dean of the Faculty, A.K. Galeeva, and the Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, E.A. Aubakirov.
KazMunaiGas «PetroChem» LLP launched dialogue platform "Leadership: Leadership and Career Opportunities in petrochemicals", aimed at students of Kazakhstan's universities preparing specialists for the petrochemical industry. Our first meeting within this platform was successfully held today at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where an agreement on signing a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation between KazMunaiGas «PetroChem» LLP and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was adopted. This agreement aimed at strengthening the professional potential of the industry through joint development of educational programmes, organisation of practical training and internships at the company's facilities, as well as professional development of teachers and employees.
The aim of the Leadership project is not just to introduce young people to career opportunities in the oil and gas chemical industry, but also to inspire them to embark on an informed professional path, increase interest in technical specialities and create a talent pool for key industry projects, including the polyethylene plant and gas separation complex under construction in the Atyrau region. "The modern oil and gas chemical industry is experiencing an increasing need for qualified specialists - engineers, technicians and operators who have not only theoretical knowledge but also relevant practical skills and are ready to innovate. I am confident that such interaction will inspire students to study their specialised disciplines in greater depth and help them to become in-demand specialists of the future".
Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Kanapiyeva F.M.
