Excursion of 3rd year bachelors of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology to the laboratory of «Oilsert International» LLP is an important step in the professional training of future chemists. This activity is directly related to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular, SDG №4 (Education), SDG №8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG №9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).

Contribution of practice to professional training:

1. SDG № 4: Education

  • Practical learning: Students have the opportunity to see the application of theoretical knowledge in practice, which enhances learning.
  • Interactive learning: Interaction with chemistry professionals allows students to ask questions and receive answers on relevant topics, which deepens their understanding of the subject.

2. SDG №8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

  • Industry exposure: The field trip gives students an insight into the real working conditions in the chemical industry, which helps them to be better prepared for their future careers.
  • Skills development: Participation in laboratory work and discussions with practitioners helps develop the professional skills necessary for successful employment.

3. SDG №9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

  • Innovative technologies: Students can familiarise themselves with modern methods and technologies used in the laboratory, which inspires them to further research and development.
  • Stimulate interest in science: A visit to the laboratory can stimulate students' interest in research and innovation, which is important for the development of the chemical industry.

An excursion to the laboratory of Oilsert International LLP provides students with a unique opportunity to see how their studies are linked to real practice in the chemical industry. This not only contributes to their professional development, but also helps in achieving global sustainable development goals, forming a new generation of highly qualified specialists ready for the challenges of the modern world.

The students listened to an interesting lecture and were shown the operation of the devices. Bachelors-practitioners asked a lot of questions, demonstrating good theoretical preparation. Maybe in the near future a graduate of our faculty will get a job as an employee of this wonderful laboratory.
