Interactive Syllabus as a Tool for Enhancing the Quality of Education at the Faculty of Oriental Studies

Today, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a rich and meaningful seminar was held, dedicated to the issues of organizing and planning interactive syllabi. The seminar was attended by A.A. Musinova, Deputy Director of the Department for Academic Affairs, I.I. Krugovykh, Head of the Office of Academic and Digital Innovations, and A.S. Alkozhaeva, Head of the Department of Information Support for Managerial Activities.
The seminar attracted strong interest from the faculty members of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to improving the quality of education, enhancing methodological approaches, and introducing innovative solutions into the learning process.
Special attention was given to the role of the interactive syllabus as a modern educational tool. For instructors, it offers opportunities for flexible lesson planning, the use of digital platforms, transparency in the assessment system, and timely feedback from students. For undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, the interactive syllabus becomes a guide in the learning process: it helps to clearly understand the objectives of the course, track personal progress, actively engage in the educational process, and develop self-directed learning skills.
Thus, the implementation of interactive syllabi contributes to the creation of a more open, dynamic, and productive academic environment, where the educational process is built on dialogue and partnership between instructors and students.
