Students of KazNU participated in a festive concert

On September 3, 2025, students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in a joint festive concert titled “Melodies of Memory and Unity”, featuring artists from Kazakhstan and Korea. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Korea.

Organized by the Association of Koreans in Kazakhstan as part of a cultural and creative exchange project, the concert was held in the Grand Concert Hall named after Y. Rakhmadiev at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. Along with the students, association members A.V. Kim and R.F. Sabirova also attended the event and enjoyed remarkable works of art.

The concert became a unique cultural event highlighting the friendship and historical continuity between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Korea. For the youth, it was not only a celebration but also a meaningful experience that allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of different countries’ history and culture.

This cultural event aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 – Quality Education: broadening students’ cultural outlook and contributing to their spiritual development. SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: supporting cultural events aimed at promoting peace and harmony in society. SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: enhancing cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Korea and strengthening friendship among nations.

Such cultural projects not only foster international cooperation but also enrich the spiritual and cultural potential of young people and encourage respect for the values of global civilization.
