Meeting for Faculty Members Held at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics

On September 12, 2025, a meeting was held for the faculty members of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was jointly organized by the Academic Affairs Department and the Information Technology Department.

During the meeting, faculty members were introduced to new information and innovations implemented within the university system. Proposals and measures aimed at improving the academic process were also discussed. Special attention was given to the introduction of an interactive syllabus and the grading system.

The Academic Affairs Department is a key structural unit at KazNU responsible for planning, organizing, and enhancing the educational process. Its main tasks include developing educational programs, integrating education, science, and innovation, improving teaching methods, organizing career guidance, and facilitating graduate employment. The department also places strong emphasis on implementing academic and digital innovations to increase the efficiency of the learning process.

This event aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4: Quality Education — new academic policies and methodological approaches support faculty professional development and ensure quality education for students. SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — the introduction of digital solutions and innovations in the academic process enhances the university’s educational infrastructure. SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — coordination among faculties and departments, stakeholder involvement in curriculum development, and cooperation with national authorities ensure effective partnerships.
