Partnership Reaches a New Level

15 september, 2025

The Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has established close partnership relations with LLP “Lukoil Lubricants Central Asia”, a company widely known in the country for the production of lubricants. This cooperation is successfully implemented in the fields of education, organization of industrial internships, and ensuring the professional adaptation of students.

As emphasized by the Head of State in his Address, the country should not limit itself only to raw material extraction, but strive to produce competitive products through its deep processing. To achieve this goal, it is crucial to strengthen the interaction between science, higher education, and industry. At the beginning of the new academic year, a meeting was held with the participation of specialists from the training and adaptation center of the enterprise, during which key activities to be implemented within the framework of the partnership in the current academic year were identified. In this context, the integration of the educational process with practice at the production base is of great importance. Combining academic learning with industrial practice makes it possible to enhance the professional competencies of future specialists and adapt them to the real requirements of modern production. Students have the opportunity to observe the resolution of practical issues directly in the production environment, thereby acquiring hands-on skills and experience.

The meeting also comprehensively addressed the issue of introducing a dual education system for students of the educational program “6B05314 – Petrochemistry and Chemmotology.” This initiative is aimed at combining theoretical knowledge with industrial practice and preparing in-demand specialists for the labor market.

Thus, the partnership between the university and industry not only ensures mutually beneficial cooperation but also makes a significant contribution to the development of science and the national economy.
