Leadership of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Took Part in a Meeting with the Delegation of the Center for Language Cooperation, Ministry of Education of the PRC

On September 25, a delegation from the Center for Language Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (语合中心), headed by Deputy Director Yu Tianqi, visited the Confucius Institute at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the enhancement of the quality of international Chinese language education and the prospects for its digitalization.

The Chinese delegation included representatives of the Department of Asia and Africa, the Department of Teaching and Resources, as well as project managers.

From KazNU, the meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation M. Ibraimov, Director of the Department of Commercialization and Rector of the Kazakhstan Branch of Northwestern Polytechnical University G. Alimas, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation Zh. Abdiman, Specialist B. Sariyeva, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies M. Egamberdiev, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies F. Orazakynkyzy, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Zh. Seilambayeva, as well as other faculty members and researchers.

Deputy Director Yu Tianqi highly praised the achievements of KazNU and the Confucius Institute, emphasizing their role as a key bridge in international educational cooperation. She noted that in the context of digitalization and intellectualization of international Chinese language education, the Center is ready to provide comprehensive support to its partners, including technological assistance, educational resources, and platform solutions.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for collaboration in improving teaching methodologies, enhancing teacher training, developing digital educational resources, and integrating modern technologies into the educational process.
