SDG-4: The psychological training for students «Your Life — Your Choice» was held at the Al-Farabi Library

On October 3, a psychological training for students titled “Your Life — Your Choice” was held at the Al-Farabi Library as part of the ongoing work to promote students’ psychological well-being and prevent deviant behavior among higher education learners.
The training was conducted by Tamara Aubakirkyzy Assimova, psychoanalyst of the Central Asian and Kazakhstan Psychoanalytic Association, professor, psychiatrist of the highest category, psychotherapist, and Saltanat Yusufkyzy Nurpeisova, psychologist-analyst.
The event was aimed at developing students’ skills of conscious decision-making, personal responsibility, and emotional resilience. Through interactive exercises and group discussions, participants learned about modern methods of preventing internal burnout, recognizing early signs of stress, and applying effective self-help strategies.
Special attention was given to the topics of self-determination, goal setting, and building self-confidence. The speakers also discussed ways to harmoniously balance personal growth, academic life, and emotional well-being.
According to participants, the training was held in a warm and trusting atmosphere, allowing students not only to gain new knowledge but also to rethink their attitudes toward life and academic challenges. Such events contribute to fostering a healthy psychological climate within the university and to enhancing students’ culture of self-awareness.
