Curatorial demo lesson dedicated to the Day of Science Workers
In honor of the Day of Workers of Science, which is celebrated on October 1, a curatorial demo lesson was held at the Faculty of Philology. It was organized by the senior lecturers of the Department of Russian Philology and Literature Tansholpan Amantai and Damir Abdilda.
The lesson was held with the first-year students majoring in "Russian Philology" and "Russian Language and Literature". An demo lesson topic was "Teachers. Scientists. Figures." During the class, the participants talked about the life and scientific activities of outstanding scientists and teachers who made a significant contribution to the university development. Notable alumni of the faculty - professors, writers and researchers - were also mentioned. The students prepared interesting presentations and talked about the honorary professor of the faculty Eleanor Dyusenovna Suleimenova, about the literary critic Tursynbek Kakishev, as well as about other famous scientists. The graduates who received knowledge and experience from such outstanding mentors today themselves have become respected teachers of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. They continue the traditions of their teachers, passing on knowledge and inspiring a new generation of students. The main goal of this curatorial demo lesson was to introduce freshmen to the great path of a teacher and scientist, to set an example of selfless service to science and education. Such meetings contribute to the formation of students' interest in science and pride in their faculty.
At the end of the event, curators Tansholpan Amantay and Damir Abdilda shared their thoughts on the role of scientists and teachers, wished the students a successful and fruitful academic year.
